About Us

Who are we? We are a community of believers called from uncommon backgrounds into the common goal of living for Christ. We are not only a church but also a community devoted to caring for its members and others. We promote change in the believer’s life by focusing on the Word of God, the Worship of God and the Work of God. Calculated teaching of the word and cutting edge worship customs gives us a balance and brand that can only be defined as a Love & Faith Experience. Enjoy the experience! Vision To be a community of believers devoted to spreading love and building faith. Mission GO! Get Out – consistent evangelism into surrounding communities Give Out – charitable outreach ministries into surrounding communities Get Obvious – Christian partnering with existing community service agencies What we believe We believe that the Bible is the unadulterated Word of God, unblemished, untainted, and authorized by God. We believe in the salvation of mankind and that the only way we are saved, according to the Word of God, is by grace through faith alone, It is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:15). We believe in water baptism by immersion and that baptism is a sign to the world that we have entered into a covenant relationship with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection (Matthew 28:19). We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Saint is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world (John 17:17) WORSHIP CUSTOMS Understanding the Worship Customs of LFCC At LFCC we place a very high emphasis on praise & worship. Praise & Worship is the expression of your love and gratitude to God; it’s the communication from you to God that keeps your relationship with God open and healthy. Just imagine yourself being in a love relationship; wouldn’t it be kind of difficult to build a relationship with someone who never expressed how much they love and appreciate you? Some suggest that our physical praise is just some drunken emotional expression; however, we believe our praise is a deliberate devotional expression because we were created to give God praise and bring Glory to his name. Scripture declares that God inhabits the praises of his people (Psalm 22:3). He loves to live in our praise, so it is our duty to build him a place to dwell in with our worship. At LFCC, our praise & worship can be radical but still reverent, high but still holy, boastful but still balanced, and most of all our worship can be out of the box but all of it is still in the book. Below are some of the worship customs you may see in a service. Should you have any questions about anything you see in one of ourworship services, please feel free to ask one of our Elders to explain our customs to you. What is the “Worship Pit”? It’s the open area right around the pulpit also known as the altar. At LFCC, we believe that you shouldn’t only come to the altar to bring your problems, but you should also come to the altar to bring your praise, so we encourage believers come gather around the altar during praise and worship service led by the worship team. Why do we give verbal praise to God? We believe that praise is visible and audible, so in corporate worship we openly express our praise to God. I will bless the Lord at all times, His praises shall continually be in my mouth. (Psalm 34:1) Why do we sing praises? God loves it when we sing unto him. Good singing does not come from a good voice, but from a heart that simply loves God, so we encourage everyone to participate in singing songs unto God. Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints. (Psalm 149:1) What is a Song of the Lord? From time to time a worship moment is created where God will download a song directly from heaven into whoever is leading worship. During these moments, we encourage you to open your hearts and mind and sing the song of the Lord as you embrace this very unique prophetic moment. Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:19) Why do we dance? Dancing unto the Lord is not something you do only because you feel some extra strong force, but it is simply a choice to physically celebrate God’s presence in your life. Consider nightclubs and how they get on the dance floor and let themselves loose, well here at LFCC we encourage you to loose yourself in praise. If drunken club goers can dance on their dance floor, surely a saved believer can dance as well. We just have a different partner and meaning behind our dancing. Let Israel rejoice in Him that made him; let the children of Zion be joyful in their king. Let them praise His name in the dance. (Psalm 149:2-3) Why is someone running around the church?!!! Ok, don’t get scared, we know you may have never seen that before. However, at LFCC we believe in radical praise unto God and sometimes someone may express their victory in Christ by running around the church. We call it the “Victory Lap”. You know when someone wins a track meet; they take another lap around the track to show they’ve won. When you see someone running that simply means they feel or see the victory of God in their lives and are thanking Him for it. Another Point of View: Remember when God commanded Israel to take 7 laps around the Walls of Jericho in Joshua chapter six? Well on the seventh time they shouted unto God with a loud voice and the walls of Jericho immediately fell down. Maybe if you take a lap in praise some of your walls can down too. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days (Hebrews 11:30)   What is speaking in tongues? Tongues is a sign of being filled with the Holy Spirit and your spirit being mature enough to have a prayer and praise language. When someone is speaking in tongues, their spirit is simply communicating with God on your behalf or on the behalf of someone they are praying for. (And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4)   What is prophecy? Prophecy is a gift that God gives certain people to speak to you about matters that are to come in your life. Prophecy is simply a confirmation from God through a servant concerning where you are, and where you are going. Some prophecies are inspirational, some are directional, and some are correctional. (Romans 12:6) What is the Laying on of Hands? The laying on of Hands has proven all throughout the New Testament that it’s a way of spiritually transferring the Holy Spirit into another person for healing, restoration, deliverance, etc. At LFCC, we alsofollow the scriptural instructions that “you should lay hands on no man suddenly.”(1 Timothy 5:22). Only ordained persons should move in that authority to lay hands or those persons that the Pastor or worship leader releases to do so. What denomination is the church? LFCC is an inter-denominational church. All of our members come from many different religious backgrounds but we all agree with the word of God and are striving to live for Christ. LFCC is a part of the Life Center Fellowship of Independent Churches. This is fellowship of churches from many different denominations that is covered by Presiding Bishop Brian D. Moore.
